Handrails, outdoor, wrought iron

We fabricate and install modern looking and finesse handrails, and more specifically outdoor handrails in London area and in Southern Ontario. We fabricate our handrails from thickest HSS tubing in each category. And, we make our decorative elements from wrought iron rod with some additional elements coming from our blacksmith. In the outdoor handrail fabrication, we use wrought iron rod from 3/8″ to 3/4″. These thick materials, proper welding technique, and owners maintenance prolongs the utilization of our railings for many years longer. The mobile welding unit is always present during installation of these handrails.

Our handrails turn interest with their designs and sturdiness

We believe that our handrails must stand up among the competition with their designs and with their sturdiness. This is a major difference between us and our competition.

JW Portable Welding & Repairs has been involved in welding-repairs of railing for years and we have noticed that they are cheaply and poorly made from thinnest possible steel. The thin steel elements rust very quickly in our climate and rust destroys outdoor handrails very quickly. Through our repairs we have noticed the substandard quality of welding and lack of draining holes in many of them. The poorly fabricated from the thinnest material railings rust easily and slowly falls apart creating many hazards. Finally, rusted railings must be repaired or replaced causing a financial expenditures.

At the same time, we have noticed that all railings look the same on every house and on every business. Our clients use our outdoor handrails to increase the curb appeal of their house and differentiate their house or business from other houses or businesses on the street.

Our handrail contains decorative elements

We encourage all clients to contribute with their ideas in selection of decorative elements for their outdoor handrails. We follow the consultative approach in all our designs. Indeed, once we select the decorative motive and then our client accepts it, then we will use this decorative motive in fabricating all handrails. The selected decorative motives are placed on the posts or in additional brackets coming from the post. And so, we make sure that the handrail still maintains the functionality.

Additionally, we use these brackets to improve the sturdiness of the whole structure or we use the decorative motive itself for this purpose. Please take a look how we placed maple leaves on the handrail.

For commercial clients sturdiness is priority, but looks are also important

Our commercial clients definitely have tendency to prioritize support and sturdiness at the expense of good look. In response to their demands, we create handrails from slightly oversized elements without sacrificing the thickness of them. Most importantly, these elements are still in thickest category.

Not only the utilization of oversized elements with thick walls allows us to create also heaviest welds in the structures, but also improves the overall structure’s look. And, everybody knows that heaviest welds will resist impact forces and rust longer

Additionally, in order to satisfy our commercial clients, we tend to increase number of anchors per each posts or attachment point. Also, we increase number of attachment points. Please note, we have added the middle attachment point and still each attachment point carries the 2 anchors. One anchor on top of the handrail and one below.
